Everyone yearns for summer not just because of the sunshine, beach and other outdoor activities that you can?t do during the other seasons but because of hosting big barbeque parties in their backyards. There are various types of barbeque grills on the market for you to choose with different size, features, style and the way that they cook food.
The following are the 3 main types of barbeque grills.
- Charcoal. It is the oldest grill that has been there in the market and has been used for decades, it uses charcoal for burning purposes. The charcoal used does not just heat the food but also adds a distinct flavor to the food; it gives grilled food a smokey flavor. This is the reason why charcoal grills are prepared for longer times that the other grills before they are used. These are the simplest grills to use and they are very cheap since they have fewer features and that they use charcoal which is also cheap. There are three tips which are the drawbacks of using this grill that you have to keep in mind if you are thinking of purchasing this type of grill. First, if you are going to use brisquettes, a liquid used to fire the charcoal, you should burn it completely before you start preparing the food so as it doesn?t leave a foul taste on the food. You will also need to replace the charcoal severally as it burns first and the grill takes a longer time to cool after using it so that you can clean it. It is also very hard to clean it since you will need to first remove the ashes before cleaning it.
- Gas. These are the modern grills and are very popular at the moment, there are two kind of gas grills; propane and natural gas. Natural gas produces a lot of heat and standard temperature for preparing food. It is very easy to clean as it cools fast and has a self cleaning option. The only drawback is that it is a fire hazard therefore you need to store it in a very safe place. Propane grills produce enough amount of heat but lower than natural gas, they are very convenient to use as you can easily move them around the compound. Gas grills are bigger and faster cooking machines as compared to charcoal grills.
- Electric. Electric barbeque grills are simply electric ovens with wheels. They don?t use fuel, they have an electric outlet for you to plug in. the good thing about these grills is that exact temperature can be set and maintained and they are self cleaning and you don?t need to remove ashes from it therefore making them easy to clean. They are small in size as compared to other grills and they can be used as a kitchen item. They are very safe (not fire hazards) as compared to gas grills. The only drawback is that they are very expensive.
